2025Work

First Job

Joined a startup and began my real engineering career. Learning something new every day, starting to understand the gap between writing code and building products. First on-call wake-up at 3 AM, first feature used by 100K people, first time getting yelled at for a bug. First code review where I was speechless, first module I owned end-to-end. These firsts taught more than any tutorial ever could. Looking back six months later, my first PR was embarrassingly bad — but that's what growth looks like.

2025Life

Moved to a New City

Arrived in Shenzhen with two suitcases.

2024University

Graduation

Thesis defense, farewell dinner, graduation photos. Four years condensed into a few group photos and a diploma. My palms were sweaty during the defense, but the professors were gentle. We drank a lot at the farewell dinner, made promises to stay in touch. Walking out the campus gate, I looked back and realized a chapter of life had truly ended.

2024Work

Landed a Job

Applied from September to November, interviewed at over a dozen companies. Got rejected many times, but also landed a few offers. At my most anxious, I couldn't sleep at all, doom-scrolling interview experiences online. Looking back, the most important lesson was: rejection doesn't mean you're not good enough — it just means it's not the right fit.
